Salesforce Unveils Job-Titled AI Agents with Ambitious Claims
Salesforce has announced its AI agents as labor, not chatbot features. The company has given names and job titles to six of its agents, including Hunter, Casey, Paige, Carter, Marshall, Piper, and Fin.
Hunter is the most ambitious claim in the launch, built on a new long-horizon runtime that keeps a plan moving across days and weeks instead of stopping when one chat ends. The other agents have specific roles: Casey handles customer service, Paige takes IT and HR requests, Carter helps shoppers compare products and check out, Marshall is for back-office supply chain work, Piper qualifies inbound B2B leads, and Fin handles customer experience workflows.
The company has reported that some of its customers are already seeing significant results with the agents. For example, Asana's Piper agent drives four times the conversation volume, while Hibbett says its Hibbett AI handles 90% of core shopper journeys after going live in six weeks. However, it's worth noting that these figures are Salesforce-reported and not independently verified.
