Salesforce Unveils Slack Code with Integrated AI Coding Agents

Salesforce has announced Slack Code, a new feature that enables teams to collaborate with AI coding agents in dedicated shared spaces. The product is designed to connect code generation and team conversations within a single interface.

The new feature integrates with popular AI tools such as Anthropic's Claude, Cognition's Devin, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and Vercel's AI agents. With Slack Code, teams can create dedicated 'code channels' for each project or task, where members can share code, prototypes, and documentation directly within Slack.

The feature also allows users to review code changes through side-by-side diffs, check live previews of HTML output in real-time, provide feedback, and handle approvals before release. Users can start a code channel by tagging a coding agent from an existing conversation.
