Salesforce Ups Revenue Forecast on AI Partnership with Anthropic
Salesforce has raised its annual revenue forecast following strong momentum in its AI-powered products. The company's shares rose by 14% in extended trading after it announced an expanded partnership with AI giant Anthropic, which will integrate Anthropic's Claude AI models across Salesforce's workplace applications.
The 'Claudeforce' initiative builds on the June partnership where an AI agent was added to Slack, a business software company owned by Salesforce. The integration aims to automate sales, service, and marketing tasks, which Salesforce sees as a major growth driver for the future.
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff stated that the company is seeing 'incredible demand' for its AI and data products, with annual recurring revenue about to cross $4 billion. The company now expects fiscal 2027 revenue between $46.1 billion and $46.4 billion, up from its prior outlook range of $45.9 billion to $46.2 billion.
