Salesforce's Quiet Pivot to AI Infrastructure

Salesforce's stock has been rising over the past month, up 16 percent to €176.60, but still lags behind its year-start price by 22 percent.

The company is set to release its second-quarter fiscal 2027 results after the New York close, and investors are looking beyond the headline numbers to understand Salesforce's strategy shift.

Over the past week, Salesforce has quietly repositioned itself as a provider of infrastructure for AI-driven applications, rather than just a CRM vendor.

The company expanded its Headless-360 program, adding new features such as MCP servers and Data-360 capabilities, which will allow developers to build dynamic, AI-driven interfaces.

Marc Benioff reinforced this strategy at the Six Five Summit, stating that enterprise-wide AI adoption is still in its infancy and won't gain widespread acceptance for another 12-18 months.
