SanDisk Soars on Long-Term Vision and Shareholder Returns

SanDisk has experienced a significant surge of over 60% in just two weeks after being cut nearly in half from its June peak. The company's bold long-term vision and shareholder return plans have drawn attention from investors.

At the '2026 Investor Day' event, SanDisk announced it will grow average annual revenue in the high-teens percentage range for fiscal years 2028-2030 and return 100% of free cash flow to shareholders. The company has signed long-term supply agreements averaging four years with eight customers to reduce industry cyclicality.

JPMorgan upgraded the stock to Overweight with a $2,250 price target, implying approximately 40% additional upside from current levels. Bernstein sharply raised its price target from $1,700 to $3,000, and Evercore ISI maintained its 'Outperform' rating with a $2,800 price target.

SanDisk's shareholder return announcement is also drawing attention to SK Hynix, which has signaled additional shareholder return measures in the third quarter. However, caution is warranted given SanDisk's elevated valuation and potential need for consolidation.
