Santa Fe College Hit by Microsoft Outlook Outage

Santa Fe College users were affected by an outage in Microsoft Outlook on August 31, 2026. The issue started around 11:30 a.m. and prevented students and staff from sending or receiving emails through Outlook.

Microsoft reported that it identified the problem with an authentication component and was developing a remediation strategy to address it. However, there is no estimated time when services will be available again.

The company warned of potential delayed delivery and residual impact as they progressively restarted targeted sections of affected infrastructure. Microsoft expects this action to aid in the recovery of affected scenarios but users should still expect some disruptions.
