Saratoga Rattled by Recent Crime Spree: Assault, Theft, and Identity Fraud

A string of incidents has shaken Saratoga, California, in recent days. On August 28th, a disturbing assault was reported at a McDonald's on Prospect Road. According to authorities, two suspects surrounded a victim and made them feel trapped before punching the victim, grazing their cheek. The victim fled the scene.

The incident is just one of several reported crimes in Saratoga over the past week. On August 23rd, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle parked on Bellgrove Circle, resulting in an estimated loss of $1,500. Just five days later, identity theft struck when someone used a resident's personal identifying information to obtain a loan for approximately $4,409.
