Saudi Arabia Aims for 1 GW of AI Infrastructure with AMD, Cisco, HUMAIN
A consortium of AMD, Cisco, and HUMAIN has formed to build up to 1 GW of AI data center infrastructure in Saudi Arabia by 2030.
The first phase, set to begin operations in 2026, will deploy 100 MW using AMD's latest GPUs and Cisco's networking stack.
HUMAIN operates under the Public Investment Fund, which is Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth vehicle.
The joint venture emphasizes a lower total cost of ownership compared to traditional AI infrastructure setups.
