Saudi Arabia Rolls Out AMD-Powered AI Infrastructure Amid Ambitious Expansion Plans
The AMD Instinct AI infrastructure has officially gone live in Saudi Arabia through a joint venture between AMD, Cisco, and HUMAIN. The three companies have announced that they will deploy up to 250 MW of additional AI infrastructure from 2027 as part of their plans.
The production deployment combines AMD's Instinct MI355X GPUs with EPYC CPUs and Cisco's Silicon One-based AI networking, including the N9000 Series platform built on Cisco 800G optics. This infrastructure is designed for GPU-as-a-service across various use cases, from model training to inference.
According to Dr. Lisa Su, chair and CEO of AMD, 'Bringing AMD Instinct systems online in Saudi Arabia is an important milestone in our work with HUMAIN.' The joint venture aims to build an open, high-performance AI platform that will scale significantly in the coming years.
