A recent flight on Saudia's Boeing 787-10 business class exceeded expectations for a traveler who had previously flown with the airline in years past. The five-hour and twenty-minute journey from Amsterdam to Jeddah was described as 'phenomenal,' particularly when it came to food, service, and amenities.

The traveler booked their ticket using Air France-KLM Flying Blue miles, redeeming 85,000 points plus $301 in taxes and fees. They noted that this wasn't a particularly good redemption value, but the availability of award seats on the connecting flight from Jeddah to Riyadh made it worth booking through Flying Blue.

The traveler was initially disappointed with the check-in process, which they described as chaotic due to issues with queuing and ticket verification. However, they were able to spend time in the KLM Crown Lounge before boarding their Saudia flight.
