Scheffler Shatters Records with Electrifying 61 at FedEx St. Jude Championship
Scottie Scheffler reminded everyone why he's still World No. 1 after carding a stunning 9-under-par 61 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. This incredible feat left the golf world raving, with many fans and analysts praising his consistency.
Scheffler began the day six strokes behind the leader but quickly surged into first place thanks to 11 birdies in an impressive display of skill. His only setbacks came at the eighth and 11th holes, where he bogeyed despite finding water on the latter hole.
His performance was particularly noteworthy given that his season has been marked by subpar results compared to his standards. Despite consistently being in the top-10, Scheffler hasn't managed a win since January's American Express tournament.
Scheffler's impressive round at TPC Southwind has left him with a three-stroke lead over Sungjae Im and Viktor Hovland, putting himself in prime position to claim his second title of the year.
