Scheffler's Sustained Success Sparks Media Obsession
Blades Brown, an 18-year-old golfer, has expressed his concern that Scottie Scheffler receives too much media attention. Brown believes Scheffler's consistent performance on the PGA Tour has turned into a fixation for journalists.
In 2022, Scheffler had a breakthrough year, winning his first Masters and becoming the World No. 1. Since then, he has added 21 more PGA Tour victories and four major championships to his resume, reclaiming the world No. 1 ranking in 2023.
Brown played alongside Scheffler at The American Express in January, finishing tied for 18th while Scheffler cruised to a comfortable victory. Brown noticed that when Scheffler was on the cut line, the media would say 'oh no, something's wrong.'
