Schott Takes Helm as Walt Disney World President Amid Resort Expansion
Joe Schott has taken over as President of Walt Disney World Resort, succeeding Jeff Vahle. Schott's extensive experience in the Disney company spans nearly 45 years, starting with a part-time job as a skipper on the Jungle Cruise at Walt Disney World.
Before his appointment to this new role, he served as president and general manager of Shanghai Disney Resort since 2018. Additionally, he has held key positions at Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disney Resort.
In his first statement as President, Schott emphasized his focus on supporting Cast Members, delivering exceptional Guest experiences, and building on the resort's strong foundation. He also thanked his predecessor, Jeff Vahle, for his leadership and stewardship of Walt Disney World.
