Sei Investments Cuts Stake in Microsoft Following 111,109 Share Sale
Sei Investments Co., a financial institution, recently made adjustments to its holdings in Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT). According to the latest filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Sei sold 111,109 shares of MSFT during the first quarter. This move resulted in a 1.6% reduction in the firm's ownership stake in the software giant.
As of its most recent SEC filing, Sei Investments Co. owns approximately 2.4% of Microsoft's stock, making it the company's third-largest holding. The total value of Sei's MSFT holdings is around $2.59 billion, representing about 0.09% of Microsoft's outstanding shares.
This news comes amidst other institutional investors and hedge funds adjusting their stakes in MSFT as well. For instance, Keynote Financial Services LLC increased its stake by 4.6%, while MWA Asset Management boosted its holdings by 29.2%. Alamar Capital Management LLC also acquired a new position in Microsoft during the same quarter.
Interestingly, about 71% of MSFT's stock is currently owned by institutional investors and hedge funds.
