Semiconductor Industry Could Reach $7.9 Trillion with Agentic AI Boom
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang predicts the semiconductor industry could grow to $7.9 trillion within the next decade due to the agentic AI boom.
Huang estimates the industry will need to expand tenfold from its current value of approximately $791.7 billion, as AI agents become increasingly autonomous and self-directed.
Nvidia and Micron are two stocks that could benefit from this growth, with Nvidia being a leader in the GPU market and Micron specializing in memory and storage chips.
Nvidia's revenue jumped 85% year over year to $81.6 billion in its first quarter of fiscal year 2027, while Micron saw its revenue grow by almost 346% year over year to $41.46 billion in the third quarter of fiscal year 2026.
