Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang predicts that the semiconductor industry will grow to $7.9 trillion in the next decade, driven by the rise of agentic AI systems.

The current industry value is around $791.7 billion, and Huang believes it needs to expand rapidly to support the growth of AI agents, which can autonomously execute tasks and help corporations achieve significant productivity gains.

Nvidia itself is well-positioned to benefit from this trend, with a recent revenue jump of 85% year-over-year in the first quarter of its fiscal year 2027. The company's GPU market leadership, combined with its expanding CPU business through its Vera Rubin architecture, positions it for continued growth.

Micron Technology is another potential beneficiary of the AI boom, as its memory and storage chips are used in a wide range of applications, including data centers and smartphones. With revenue growing by almost 346% year-over-year in the third quarter of its fiscal year 2026, Micron's financial results have exploded, driven by sustained demand for its products.
