SentinelOne Dismisses 'Magic Solution' for Cybersecurity as AI-Driven Attacks Rise

At the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference 2026, SentinelOne's CEO Tomer and CFO Sonalee discussed how AI is reshaping cybersecurity. They argued that while AI-driven attacks are faster, they do not represent a fundamentally new class of attack.

The company reported strong Q2 earnings, beating expectations and raising full-year revenue guidance by a larger amount than the quarterly beat itself. SentinelOne's AI security products, including Prompt Security and Purple AI, posted triple year-over-year ARR growth.

Tomer emphasized that there is no 'magic solution' from any cybersecurity vendor, and that the best defense is to improve the basics faster than attackers can move. He also stated that customers should avoid moving too quickly into automated red-team and blue-team agents, which still require human judgment for prioritization, validation, and production use.

SentinelOne's decade-long investment in visibility and behavioral analysis is now more relevant than ever, according to Tomer. The company is focusing on vulnerability remediation, configuration, and basic hygiene rather than relying on fully automated agentic tools that still need human oversight.
