Sepehran Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing After Tire Burst and Engine Failure
A Boeing 737 operated by Sepehran Airlines suffered a tire burst and engine failure soon after take-off from Mashhad Airport in Iran. The aircraft, which was headed to Kermanshah, made an emergency landing at the same airport.
The incident occurred at 5:39 p.m. local time, according to reports from the government of Iran's Razavi Khorasan province. All passengers on board were safely evacuated and no one was reported injured.
The plane's engine had developed a fault after the tire burst, forcing the pilot to bring the aircraft back to Mashhad Airport. The airport's runway was closed for some time but later reopened.
