Servicenow Acquires Sweep for $400M, Strengthening AI-Native Development Capabilities
ServiceNow has acquired Sweep, a Tel Aviv and New York-based company that builds an agentic metadata layer for go-to-market systems. The acquisition is valued at approximately $400 million, according to Geektime. This deal marks the strongest valuation signal for Salesforce metadata and DevOps tooling since Copado's financing in 2021.
Sweep emerged from stealth in December 2022 with a no-code Salesforce configuration tool, but its true value lies in its ability to provide a dependency-resolved view of the interior of a Salesforce org. This is known as a Delivery Digital Twin, which meets four key tests: it's refreshed continuously, resolves dependencies among components, covers code and permissions, and can be queried directly by agents.
ServiceNow has been assembling a platform that governs every AI agent in the enterprise, regardless of where data lives. The acquisition of Sweep fills a crucial gap in this platform, allowing ServiceNow to provide control without data gravity, governing work without first migrating business records. This strategy is centered around its AI Control Tower and acquisitions like Moveworks and Armis.
