ServiceNow Shakes Up Marketing Leadership Amid Goldman Sachs Rebalancing
ServiceNow has appointed Simon Mouyal as its new chief marketing officer, effective immediately. Mouyal joins from cybersecurity group Armis and brings over 25 years of experience in SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and security.
Mouyal's remit will cover global marketing and communications, and his security background is seen as a valuable asset for ServiceNow's AI strategy. The company aims to position itself as an 'AI Control Tower' for autonomous agents, not just automating tasks but also acting as the coordination layer for AI-driven operations.
ServiceNow has been expanding its ecosystem around this push, with partnerships such as its strategic distribution deal with Exclusive Networks and tie-up with Boomi. However, Goldman Sachs has removed ServiceNow from its US Conviction List as part of a monthly rebalance, citing a rotation towards more defensive growth sectors.
The removal is technical rather than a change in the underlying rating, but it coincided with a 2.53% fall in shares to EUR97.22 on Tuesday. Despite this, ServiceNow's fundamentals remain sturdy, with quarterly revenue up 24% and its AI portfolio passing $1 billion in annual contract value for the first time.
The company is also undergoing internal restructuring, cutting around 300 jobs in Silicon Valley as part of an 'AI-focused realignment'. However, management has stated that this is part of broader efficiency gains across the business and that headcount will be managed to end 2026 where it started.
