ServiceNow Sharpens CRM Stakes with Sweep Acquisition
ServiceNow has acquired Sweep, an Israel-based software company that specializes in agentic AI technologies. The acquisition is aimed at expanding ServiceNow's ability to build AI agents for its CRM push against Salesforce.
The agentic layer developed by Sweep provides AI agents with the context needed to understand, plan, and govern changes across various enterprise systems. Its technology works on top of platforms such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, Snowflake, HubSpot, and Data 360.
With Sweep's acquisition, ServiceNow gains access to a wide range of agentic AI technologies, including AI-powered documentation and Q&A capabilities, metadata agents, and the ability to work across multiple organizations from a single conversation.
Salesforce has not commented on the acquisition. However, ServiceNow executives have stated that the acquisition will help improve its AI capabilities around CRM and accelerate enterprise application implementations for customers.
