Sherwin-Williams Announces Celery as 2027 Color of the Year
Sherwin-Williams has announced its 2027 Color of the Year as Celery SW 6421, a soft yellow-green that's both cheerful and easy to decorate with. According to Ashley Banbury, color marketing manager at Sherwin-Williams, Celery is a beautiful pastel green that sits between a pastel and an herb tone.
Banbury notes that the selection of Celery was influenced by the growing trend towards wellness-focused homes that feel calming and connected to nature. The rise of brighter greens also played a role in the decision, with Banbury stating that 'we were seeing a lot of more chartreuse or lime greens come in, and this is a usable translation of it.'
Celery can function as a neutral color, making it easy to pair with existing color schemes. Banbury recommends pairing it with natural wood tones for a light and airy feel. The brand also suggests using Celery on kitchen cabinetry or in bathrooms and bedrooms.
