Sherwin-Williams Picks Celery as 2027 Color of the Year
Sherwin-Williams has revealed its Color of the Year for 2027: Celery SW 6421, a pale green paint color with soft yellow undertones. According to Ashley Banbury, Color Marketing Manager at Sherwin-Williams, 'Celery gives green a new energy for 2027.' The company's announcement comes amidst other paint brands unveiling their own colors of the year, including Dulux's Soulful Sage and Behr's Grounded.
Celery is described as a light, bright, and refreshingly zingy color that feels soothing and cool-toned. Unlike more muted earthy hues, Celery has a vibrancy that makes it perfect for spaces in need of brightness. Ashley suggests pairing the paint with breathable neutrals like White Flour SW 7102 or Woven Wicker SW 9104 for a light and relaxed look.
When asked about the versatility of Celery, Ashley replied, 'Celery is incredibly versatile when it comes to building a palette around it.' The color can be paired with earthy shades to create depth or contrasted with bold mid-tones for added visual interest. With its organic character and range within the green paint family, Celery offers homeowners an opportunity to bring nature-inspired colors into their homes in a way that feels authentic.
