Sherwin-Williams Picks 'Celery' as 2027 Color of the Year
Paints and coatings company Sherwin-Williams has announced its annual Color of the Year for 2027, in collaboration with HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams. The chosen color is 'celery', described as a soft, muted green with subtle yellow undertones.
Ashley Banbury, color marketing manager at Sherwin-Williams, said that the selected color reflects today's priorities of wellness, balance, and connection. 'Homeowners and designers are increasingly prioritizing wellness at home, seeking soothing environments that support mental health and overall well-being,' she explained.
The shift towards eco-inspired design has fueled interest in bringing elements of the natural world indoors through color, while a sustainability mindset is shaping preferences for hues that feel enduring. The 'celery' color is now available for purchase at local Sherwin-Williams stores and online, with free color chips also available to order.
