Sherwin-Williams Picks Celery as 2027 Color of the Year
Sherwin-Williams has chosen Celery SW 6421 as its Color of the Year for 2027. This light green paint color, developed in collaboration with HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams, is described as 'peaceful as a sunny glade' and has a decided warm yellow undertone.
Celery veers from the typical green tone found in vegetables like celery, instead leaning towards a sunnier and more minty hue. The color's energy and edge make it feel fresh and uplifting, according to Sherwin-Williams' color marketing manager Ashley Banbury.
While true greens have been rare choices for Sherwin-Williams, Celery is positioned as a lighter and more approachable option. It pairs well with complementary colors like moss green and can add brightness to rooms while expanding the sense of space.
