Sherwin-Williams Picks Soothing Green as 2027 Color of the Year
Sherwin-Williams has announced its Color of the Year for 2027, and it's a nod to nature. The company chose Celery, a soft green shade with subtle yellow undertones that evokes a sense of calmness. According to Sherwin-Williams' color marketing manager Ashley Banbury, the team selected Celery as it reflects three contemporary values: wellness, balance, and connection.
Banbury explained that Celery is meant to simulate the effect of spending time in nature, bringing a soothing yet uplifting presence to any space. The shade is particularly suitable for city-dwellers living in smaller spaces without much greenery. In addition to Celery, Sherwin-Williams also announced its 2027 Colormix Trend Forecast, 'Rewild,' which includes a palette of complementary colors to pair with Celery.
The 'Rewild' collection features pastel shades like Potentially Purple and bolder tones like Kirsch Red. The team at Sherwin-Williams carefully curated the selection to create a balanced and restorative palette that feels effortlessly elevated. Homeowners can order free color chip samples of Celery or any other Rewild shade on Sherwin-Williams' website.
