Sherwin-Williams Taps Green for Its 2027 Color of the Year: Meet Celery
Sherwin-Williams has announced its 2027 Color of the Year, and it's a fresh take on green. Celery (SW 6421) is a 'light and airy herbal green' that reflects today's priorities of wellness, balance, and connection. The color was chosen by Sherwin-Williams' Trendsight Team for both the company's own paint line and its HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams collection.
'Celery has a lot of versatility,' said Ashley Banbury, color marketing manager at Sherwin-Williams. 'It can be soft and airy and breezy [when paired with white] but also playful [when paired with a cranberry red], or with brown for an elevated look.'
The company outlined a complementary palette that includes light neutrals like White Flour (SW 7102) and Woven Wicker (SW 9104), softer accents including Potentially Purple (SW 6821) and Cosmos (SW 6528), alongside grounding shades such as Artichoke (SW 6179), Georgian Bay (SW 6509), Kirsch Red (SW 6313), and Plum Brown (SW 6272).
