Sierra Takes Sprint Win in Stage 3 of Amgen Tour of California Women's Race
Arlenis Sierra of Astana Women's Team took home the win in Stage 3 of the Amgen Tour of California women's race, which featured 20 laps of a 3.5 km circuit in downtown Sacramento.
The stage was set up for sprinters, and Sierra pulled ahead of the pack near the finish to take first place, followed by Alexis Ryan (Cany//Sram) and Emma White (Rally Cycling).
Katie Hall of UnitedHealthcare secured her position as overall champion after Stage 3 concluded today in Sacramento. She trailed Arlenis Sierra's stage win by just one second last year but took the decisive title this time around.
