Silvant Capital Puts Bets on Home Depot

Silvant Capital Management LLC has acquired a new position in The Home Depot, Inc. (NYSE:HD) shares in the second quarter, according to its most recent disclosure with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The institutional investor purchased 8,265 shares of the home improvement retailer's stock, valued at approximately $2,915,000.

This is not an isolated instance; a number of other hedge funds have also modified their holdings of HD. Gator Capital Management LLC purchased a new stake in shares of Home Depot during the fourth quarter valued at about $3,693,000.

King Luther Capital Management Corp lifted its stake in shares of Home Depot by 0.6% during the fourth quarter and now owns 1,240,478 shares of the home improvement retailer's stock valued at $426,848,000 after buying an additional 7,180 shares in the last quarter.
