Singapore Unveils Quantum-Safe Centre as IBM Joins Forces with SIT
IBM and Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) are launching a Quantum-Resilient Cybersecurity Hub in Singapore. The center, set to open by late 2026, will help organizations navigate the cybersecurity challenges posed by quantum computing advancements.
The centre's multifaceted operations will include cryptographic risk evaluations, testing of quantum-resistant technologies, professional training, and applied research endeavors. It will be strategically located at SIT's Punggol campus within the Punggol Digital District.
According to the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), post-quantum cryptography is the country's primary strategy for a quantum-safe transition. The CSA has established benchmarks based on the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards, which will serve as a guiding standard.
