Singapore's Business Sector Struggles to Keep Pace with Rapidly Advancing AI
As Singapore continues to deepen its use of artificial intelligence (AI), businesses inside the country may be struggling to keep pace. Despite decades of adopting new technologies, employees are already anticipating how their jobs could change with AI.
A Salesforce survey found that 97% of workers in Southeast Asia expect to work with an AI agent. However, only 32% receive company training on how to use them.
The challenge is not resistance to AI but rather uncertainty about its implications for individual workers and the need for businesses to prepare their people and rethink workflows.
To succeed, companies must focus on three areas: workforce skills, redesigned workflows, and trust. This includes developing workers who can combine professional expertise with an understanding of how AI can be applied to their jobs.
