Skyline Ties DataMiner to Microsoft Azure AI for Autonomous Media Ops
Skyline Communications has announced an integration between DataMiner and Microsoft Azure AI Foundry. The combination is designed to enable AI-assisted automation across media operations.
Through this integration, AI models developed on Azure AI Foundry can access real-time operational data from DataMiner, trigger automated workflows, and return decisions or recommendations within the DataMiner environment.
The connection uses Microsoft’s Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing DataMiner to function as a data and control source for AI agents running on the Azure platform.
Skyline will demonstrate the integration at IBC2026, alongside existing DataMiner xOps deployments in live media operations, including the beIN SPORTS FIFA World Cup deployment announced earlier. The company's CEO, Ben Vandenberghe, says the integration creates a foundation for genuinely autonomous media operations.
