Slack Bolsters Salesforce AI Ecosystem with Strong Enterprise Demand
Slack's integration with Salesforce is strengthening the company's AI ecosystem, potentially boosting revenue mix and supporting long-term growth. According to recent data, Slack accounted for nearly half of Salesforce's deals worth more than $1 million in annual contract value during the first quarter of fiscal 2027.
The momentum is evident, with Slack bookings in this category increasing 80% year over year, reflecting strong enterprise demand for AI-enabled workplace solutions. Salesforce is also embedding AI capabilities directly into Slack, enabling users to interact with enterprise applications using natural language.
Slackbot now functions as a Model Context Protocol (“MCP”) client, with more than 1 million users adopting it within the first six weeks. The tighter integration between Slack, Agentforce, and Data 360 creates additional cross-selling opportunities, improving customer retention by making Salesforce's offerings more deeply integrated into daily business operations.
As a result, Slack could contribute a larger share of Salesforce's revenue mix and support sustainable long-term growth. With the Zacks Consensus Estimate for full-fiscal 2027 revenues pegged at $46.09 billion, indicating a year-over-year increase of approximately 11%, the company is poised to benefit from its AI-powered collaboration strategy.
