Slack Introduces Multiplayer Coding Environment for Teams
Slack has introduced Slack Code, a multiplayer coding environment that allows teams to work together on software development projects directly within the platform.
The new feature brings AI development into the open, where team members can collaborate with agents like Claude Tag and ChatGPT to build code, review diffs, check live previews, and approve work before it ships.
Coding channels are designed to scale for agents' work in ways that threads and public channels cannot, allowing teams to plan, build, and iterate together in a dedicated workspace.
According to Rob Seaman, EVP and GM of Slack at Salesforce, 'Software development has evolved from solo terminal coding to single-player AI copilots, to multiplayer coding with Slack Code.'
