Smartwings Boeing Returns to Prague After Engine Malfunction

A Smartwings Boeing aircraft was forced to return to Prague Airport after experiencing an engine malfunction shortly after takeoff.

The crew detected a fault in engine No. 2, prompting the plane to turn back and land safely at the airport.

All 189 passengers and six crew members on board were returned to the airport without incident.

Following the emergency landing, Prague Airport declared full alert status and temporarily suspended airport operations.
