Smilegate Takes Over Lost Ark from Amazon

Amazon Game Studios has announced that it will be ending its live service operations of Lost Ark in the West, handing over the game to Smilegate, the original creators.

The transition is set to take place in early 2027, with players' characters, progression, and items remaining intact on servers owned and managed by Smilegate.

Smilegate will become the new publisher of Lost Ark, taking over from Amazon Game Studios, which has been operating the game in the West since its launch.

The transition is expected to be seamless, with players' accounts being transferred automatically to Smilegate's service.
