Sooke Chevron Gas Station Closes for Two-Week Upgrade
A Chevron gas station in downtown Sooke is closing for two weeks to undergo upgrades. According to Jesse Ahnert, a representative of Protech Petroleum, the general contractor hired for the work, the project will replace underground product lines and prepare the site for new fuel dispensers. The station at Church Road and Highway 14 is also looking to add diesel service at one of its pumps.
The closure is expected to last about two weeks, during which time customers will be directed to the Chevron station on Highway 14 near Saseenos, which remains open. Ahnert stated that the upgrades are intended to accommodate more customers once the project is complete.
