Sophie Williams has left her family's Broadway Convenience Store in Oxgangs after more than four decades of operation. The store, which has been run by the Williams family since 1983, will be closing its doors as Sophie's parents prepare to retire.

Sophie, who grew up in the shop and returned during the coronavirus pandemic to help her parents, has taken on a role at Coca-Cola after starring in their 'The Bosses' campaign last year. She used her creative skills to boost the store's social media presence, leading to increased customer engagement and sales.

Sophie thanked the Oxgangs community for their support over the years, saying she will never find another community like it. She also reflected on the family's legacy, noting that between five generations of Williams retailers, they have worked in the store for over 150 years combined.
