Soundcore Unveils Nebula X1S Laser Projector with 6,000 ANSI Lumens Brightness
Anker's sub-brand Soundcore has unveiled an upgraded version of its Nebula X1 laser projector, dubbed the Nebula X1S. This high-brightness projector is designed to let users watch movies outside in broad daylight, thanks to its impressive 6,000 ANSI lumens brightness.
The new X1S offers a substantial upgrade over its predecessor's claimed 3,500 brightness at source. It achieves this level of brightness through the use of four RGB lasers, up from three on the original model. The projector also covers an impressive 106% of the Rec.2020 color gamut in vivid mode.
The X1S features a native contrast ratio of 5,000:1 in SDR and up to 56,000:1 when watching Dolby Vision content. It also boasts a 14-element lens system with motorized micro-gimbal stabilization, allowing the lenses to align perfectly even when the projector is inclined up to 25º.
The projector runs on Google TV and supports Netflix, as well as Soundcore's SpaceFlow feature, which lets users create a 3D-looking landscape around them using walls or other flat surfaces. However, it's worth noting that Dolby Atmos support is not available on the X1S.
