SpaceX Soars, Apple Hits a Plateau
Two of the world's largest publicly traded companies, Apple and SpaceX, are drawing attention from Wall Street analysts.
Apple, which has a market cap of nearly $4.7 trillion, is viewed as fully valued by many analysts, with an average price target of around $336 per share, implying about 5% upside from current levels.
The company's recent departure of CEO Tim Cook and the appointment of John Ternus, former senior vice president of hardware engineering, has brought back traits reminiscent of Steve Jobs. Apple has unveiled a range of new products, including the iPhone Duo, but analysts remain cautious about its ability to innovate in areas like AI.
On the other hand, SpaceX is seen as having significant potential upside, with an average price target of around $228 per share, implying roughly 51% upside from current levels. The company's vertically integrated platform, which includes intelligence, data centers, proprietary chips, and broadband via Starlink, has been praised by analysts like Oppenheimer's Timothy Horan.
