Spanish Millionaire Marcos de Quinto's Rise to Right-Wing Prominence

Spanish millionaire Marcos de Quinto has been making headlines recently for his provocative statements and involvement in right-wing politics. As a former executive at Coca-Cola and deputy for Ciudadanos, De Quinto has been accused of causing problems with his tweets, which have been described as 'provocative' by knowledgeable sources from the party.

De Quinto's association with Ciudadanos began in 2019 when he signed with the party. He quickly became one of the wealthiest deputies, with assets exceeding 47 million euros and a collection of nineteen vehicles and five houses. However, his time in politics was short-lived, as he broke with Ciudadanos after the party formed a pact with the Spanish government regarding the state of alarm.

Since then, De Quinto has become increasingly radicalized, moving into the orbit of the extreme right. He has advocated for restricting the right to vote for millions of citizens based on their economic status, stating that those receiving unemployment subsidies or minimum vital income should not have a say in elections.

De Quinto's latest venture is leading 'Pie En Pared', a movement aimed at combating the left-wing hegemony. He has also been involved in the 'armada of solidarity', a flotilla of sixty boats heading to Ceuta to support the autonomous city and claim its Spanishness.

In an interview, De Quinto described himself as a 'pirate sailing without a flag', highlighting his unconventional approach to politics. He has also clashed with the PP government in Ceuta over issues such as councilor appointments, claiming that he must have thought the meal was paid for by the government, giving him the right to say what he pleased.
