SPEEA, Boeing to Resume Contract Talks on August 31
Boeing and its largest white-collar union, SPEEA (Society of Professional Engineering Employees Association), are set to resume contract talks on August 31 after negotiations stalled due to workers' rejection of the company's latest offer.
The union represents approximately 17,000 Boeing engineers and technical workers. In a survey conducted this week, nearly 13,000 SPEEA members participated, with their top priority being larger, immediate guaranteed wage increases.
Annual performance-based raises ranked second in importance, followed closely by improved annual cost-of-living adjustments. The planned meeting between Boeing and SPEEA negotiators aims to address these concerns and potentially reach a new agreement.
