Boeing's new contract offer to 17,000 engineers and technical workers in Western Washington has been unanimously endorsed by the union's bargaining team. The Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) announced this development after their negotiations with Boeing.

The union members are set to vote on the four-year contract proposal, which includes a 29.4% wage pool increase over the contract period and a guaranteed minimum wage tied to inflation. This is the largest wage-pool increase since 1983, according to SPEEA. Additionally, the new contract offers improved health and dental benefits, more opportunities for virtual work, and twice-annual meetings with Boeing executives.

The union's bargaining team emphasized that there are no takeaways in the proposed contract. Andrew Ferguson, a member of the negotiation team, stated, 'Our task was simple in principle, but complex in reality.' He noted that the union achieved meaningful movement from all areas and that the final offer from Boeing reflects this.
