Sprite Branded Train Hits Indian Railways
Coca-Cola's Sprite has launched its first branded train in India in partnership with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). The Sprite Tejas Express will operate on the Lucknow-New Delhi-Lucknow route for six months from August 2026. Five coaches of the Tejas Express feature Sprite branding on their exteriors, while onboard passengers can enjoy Sprite as part of their food bundles.
The partnership also incorporates recycled materials into the passenger experience, with station benches made from recycled plastic and a ceremonial flag used during the launch made from repurposed PET bottles. Abhishek Gupta, Vice President of Customer Development at Coca-Cola India & Southwest Asia, said, 'We congratulate IRCTC on this innovative partnership and an important milestone for travel experiences in India.'
