Staley Admits Sharing Confidential Bank Info with Convicted Sex Offender Epstein

Former JPMorgan executive Jes Staley has revealed that he shared confidential bank information with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to a transcript released by the U.S. Congress House Oversight Committee.

The admissions come as lawmakers probe Epstein's ties with political and business elites. Staley appeared before the committee in July and admitted to sharing sensitive information with Epstein, including communications with the Federal Reserve during the 2008 financial crisis and details of pending deals.

Staley also testified that he informed Epstein about JPMorgan's concerns over his large cash withdrawals and designated him a high-risk client. He defended the exchanges, saying he believed he had the authority to share information when he considered it appropriate.
