Starcloud Rakes in $250M as It Prepares to Launch AI-Powered Satellite Constellation
Nvidia's partnership with Starcloud has reached new heights as the satellite network company raises $250 million in funding to support its ambitious plans. The Series A extension round was led by Manhattan West, with participation from existing investors including Benchmark and Nvidia itself.
The fresh capital will fund the continued buildout of manufacturing capacity, engineering work in collaboration with Nvidia, and the procurement of future launch slots. Starcloud's satellites are set to be equipped with Nvidia's Space-1 Vera Rubin Module, which is expected to deliver 25 times as much in-space compute capability as its predecessor.
This marks a significant milestone for both companies, as they push the boundaries of space-based AI data processing and computing. The partnership has already shown promising results, with Starcloud successfully flying Nvidia's H100 GPU to orbit last November.
