Steak n' Shake Goes All In on MAHA Menu Amid Sales Surge
Steak n' Shake, an American burger chain, has undergone a significant transformation in support of the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement. The company's owner, Sardar Biglari, has credited the MAHA menu and the appointment of Chief MAHA Officer Michael Boes for the 13% increase in same-store sales over the past year.
The MAHA menu features 100% beef tallow fries, cane sugar Coca-Cola, Grade A Wisconsin butter, and A2 whole milk. In June, Steak n' Shake introduced 100 percent grass-fed, grass-finished beef burgers nationwide.
Biglari has expressed his gratitude for the support of major MAGA figures such as Marjorie Taylor Greene, Elon Musk, and Lara Trump. The company's partnership with Tesla has led to the installation of supercharger stations at over 100 Steak n' Shake locations.
However, health experts have raised concerns about the impact of the MAHA movement on overall health habits. Alison Steiber from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics questioned whether frying french fries in beef tallow makes them healthier.
