Steiner Slams Norris Over 'Unprofessional' Coca-Cola Moment
Former Haas Formula 1 team principal Guenther Steiner has criticized Lando Norris's actions after the Spanish Grand Prix. The McLaren driver was seen drinking a Coca-Cola in the cooldown room, despite rival drinks company PepsiCo having a partnership with F1.
Norris refused to put the drink down when an official asked him to, saying he had just finished racing and was allowed to drink what he wanted. Steiner argued that as a professional driver, Norris should have been more considerate of his actions in public.
'If you are a professional, you don't do that,' Steiner said. 'You know what you can do and what you cannot do. You're well trained.' He also suggested that the incident may not have had any negative consequences for Norris or F1, but was still unprofessional.
