Stock Market Faces Critical Test as Nvidia Earnings and Inflation Data Drop
The stock market is bracing for a critical test on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, as Nvidia's earnings and inflation data are set to be released.
The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) will release an estimate of Q2 gross domestic product (GDP), which grew just 1.5% in the last estimate, along with July's personal income and outlays report.
Nvidia's Data Center segment produced $75.2 billion of revenue last quarter, up 92% year over year, as companies continue to spend heavily on AI infrastructure.
The Federal Reserve's preferred inflation measure, the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) reading, will also be released, showing a 3.3% core PCE, above the Fed's 2% target.
