Streamlining Cloud Storage with Rclone
Yadullah Abidi, a tech journalist and developer, was fed up with juggling multiple cloud storage services on his PC. He had Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox all installed at once, but it became a mess to manage files across these providers.
Abidi discovered Rclone, a free, open-source command-line tool that connects dozens of cloud storage services from one interface. With Rclone, he could configure each service as a remote and mount them as a single drive on his PC.
To combine all three clouds into one drive, Abidi used Rclone's union backend feature, which treats multiple remotes as a single combined filesystem. This way, every file from each account was merged into one directory.
